Could be Jeremiah Johnson, I heard he came down from the higher elevations as he was having issues with native Americans?

You sure he is hunting? Looks more like just going for a ride in a camo coat... brave son of a gun. Wouldn't catch me on a horse up here in the saddles hills during rifle season..

Saw this post on FB.
The rider apparently was packing away some items that belong to the OP.

Ah so hes not necessarily a hunter. Hes either a landowner who confiscated a trespassers belongings or hes a dam thief himself..don't know the guy but I hope the OP gets resolution unless he was the trespasser in the first place..( I hope this was not the case)

Correct. Trying to locate, or have someone PM me with his name… not looking for any drama… just want my gear back.

I’m not the one trespassing. But I am out some gear. I have many photos/video confirming this and rather than go to police I’m hopeful we can just resolve this like adults. Without him, or someone reaching out by next week… I will go to the authorities with everything I have. Unfortunately for him, he missed several other cameras we had in the area, including an opposite camera facing one of those he stole.

I wasn't trying to call you out as a trespasser...in my neck of the woods trespassers will have thier hunting item taken by land owners and then throw hissy fits about getting stuff back lol. Not calling this what happened in your case but you never know until you know. Hope you get your stuff back...I have no use for thieves.

Oh I would not extend any olive branch to this guy. You are complicating the matter.

Unless your plan is to get your stuff back then deliver him a beating, just let the cops do it.

He stole your gear. You have pics. He's dead in the water.

I know EXACTLY what I would do.......

If this is the case then take it the authorities now, don't mess around for a week, the guy is a thief and needs to be dealt with.

Unless it's private property, are you allowed to take anything that you find? Even if it is private property, unless it's your property, are any items left there open game? I know it's a crappy way to look at it. But can the cops even do anything about that?

Not sure who's property this was on? Either way it's a crappy situation.

Bottom line is this...

Why take it when it does not belong to you on Crown land? What do you accomplish!

Private property is a different thing...

Just saying...

The one picture it looks like Kevin O’Leary. I’m sure it’s not, but that’s who it looks like.

Not spreading Drama. Simply asking for help in identifying this person. Any drama is those who wish to make comments like yours. If you don't know the guy, then move on and not post anything.

As far as social media… We’ll its the best way to ask for help from fellow like minded hunters who follow rules, have morals etc…

Some get it… obviously some don’t.

Theft is theft no matter what excuse someone tries to use to justify their actions

Unfortunately there is too many laws protecting criminals and often only a slap on the wrist or warning for low level theft. This is why I have a “ don’t call the cops policy” when dealing with thieves

They don’t learn a thing from the courts
