Default Breaking out the one gun that I would never shoot!

Long story on this 30/30 my grandfather carried this gun from new till he died in 2001!! It was the only thing I ever actually treasured as a safe queen. Going on a hunting trip tomorrow. Fired 3 shots at 100 yards today all within 10 inches. Gave me some motivation after this past year!

Wouldn't it be great to drill one with GP smiling down on you. Good luck tomorrow.

Default Shoot it...

My guess is he'd want you to get joy out of it. Good luck and close the loop with a good yarn.

I think it would be great if you could drop an animal with that. I have a similar 30-30 from my great grandfather as well that I've considered taking a few times. It certainly worked for them many times.

I think he'd be smiling if you got a chance to use it.

I brought out my grandpa's 50+ year old fishing rod this past summer.
Caught a bunch a walleyes with it.

That would be a trophy for darn sure, best of luck and please let us know if you tag one, size won't matter much. Just knowing your GP looked down that same sight and squeezed the same trigger your going to squeeze will be one day you won't forget.

ALL THE BEST
