Any one been to south end of the porks... Just wondering if that big herd is still out on ghost pine or has it been dispersed. Got cow tags and heading out this week maybe.

I watch these elk on Ghost Pine and there is currently about 600 head and next to no quality bulls and very few even legal bulls left in the group. as normal no access permitted unless you are willing to pay as the guides pay them for access!! a little money goes a long ways if you know what i mean!!! the main herd comes off the ranch to the farm fields to the east after sun set and are programed to be back on the ranch before sun up. all of us hunters driving roads hoping to get a cow or by luck a bull all we do is **** the local ranchers off by driving thier roads way to often. Anyways best thing to do is forget about this elk herd and let them multiply until their grass is ate or they get disease and loose all the elk at this end of the porcupines. it doesn't matter weather they are on lease or the little bit of deeded land they own no one is going to get access.
Happy Hunting
