Default Sentinal-hub question.

We had a previous discussion on this but I need clarification. I would like up to date CLEAR satellite photos of our river, find holes etc. I need at least Google earth quality photos. Someone had said that if you pay you get far clearer photos, can anyone confirm.

If I’m not mistaken google earth quality photos are taken by aerial imagery. Sentinel hub is satellite imagery. There are services that provide aerial imagery but they aren’t cheap.

I know I'm not answering your question but check this out, it may be ok.

Free version and no sign in needed.

Step#1 - go to website https://www.arcgis.com/index.html
Step#2 - click 'Map' on the top left corner
Step#3 - click 'Open in Map Viewer Classic' on the top right corner
Step#4 - click 'Basemap' on the top left corner and select 'Imagery' or 'Imagery Hybrid'

Now you can search on the top right corner bar.

Not sure how often they renew or change images but the one up right now is a wealth of information. Thanks!!

I don't think these are updated any more often than google maps, they just sometimes have better resolution in certain areas, or are taken at different times of the year, so it's another resource.

I use these images regularly for work. I can assure you that they are updated every few days. I highly doubt Google images are updated that regularly, maybe yearly at best.
