Default Bull elk with abnormal antlers

Checked my trail cam photos today and noticed a bull elk on one with some crazy antler growth. Left antler is a forked two point but definately add shaped and then the right antler comes up to a thick crown with four points all coming off in different directions. Its hard to tell what would be considered his main beam on this side. Would this antler be considered a legal 3 point or better or not? The tips are longer than 3 inches but they all originate from what looks like one point on the main beam. Let me know what you think.

Legal bull. Kill it. They all come from the main beam.

not abnormal either, it looks like his top end is showing good development. Good genes if he gets a chance to grow to 5-10 years old perhaps?

For sure, have seen examples of this tall basket style before. Will be interesting to see how he grows out over the years.

I don't think there is any clarification on where each point starts for elk. It is just that it has 3 legal tines of 3" or longer, on one side.

Good luck if you are chasing him. Be good eating and a cool rack to stare at.

Let him go let him grow haha, I wish we had a 4-point restriction in AB instead of 3, protect the 3-points that are 1.5 years old likely

Our group has killed 4 or 5 bulls like this this last few years.

not abnormal and perfectly legal. Excellent age for table fare also.
