Default Had a pretty good WT season!

My wife and I filled all our WT tags this year.

We shot all our does in about 2 hours one morning. I was hunting some clear cuts, and had one doe down when the other came in, and I took her as well. My wife shot both out of a treestand about 10 minutes apart- again, she shot one, dropped her, and decided to wait 5 minutes to see if a buck was on her tail. Well a spiker was, so she passed him up, and then the other doe came in.

As far as the bucks go. I was hunting a river valley, and got this guy as he was messing around with a hot doe. My wife rattled in her buck in farm country.

Both bucks were shot last Thursday (22nd).

Sad our season is over- but lots of butchering work now.

Pretty good? Ya I'd say so! Congrats and looks like you'll have a freezer full of fine venison this winter.

Thanks for the comments guys!

ABwhitetail- yeah one of those doe's I shot was amoung the biggest I've ever taken. The other one was also good- but the back one in the picture was crazy heavy. Her body size was comparable to my wife's buck. Further, she was dry, and had fat like you wouldn't believe on her. I was cutting it off in 6" deep chucks while butchering her.

Had a vension roast yesterday off the new aniamals- some great eating! Yum!
