Default AK Brown Bear

I was fortunate enough to stroke one off the bucket list a couple weeks ago. After chasing a big boar for 5 days he was on to us and disappeared. With bad weather at the end of the 7th day I made a stalk and took this big sow at 50 yards.

Nice Rug!! Good job, that is for sure a bucket list Bear. Now, go catch that blue marlin off Cabo, your life will be complete!

Beauty Brown Bear. Congrats on checking off a bucket list item.

I can only imagine what the adrenaline rush would be! Intense doesn't sound like enough of a description!

She was 50 yards broad side first shot. Hit high in the shoulder then put another round in her on the run a few seconds later and put her down just before she dove into the river. Used a .375hh with 260 gr Nozler Partision. It all happened in about 5 seconds, lol.

No not on Kodiak. I was on the south west end of the Peninsula, in Canoe Bay. About a half hour supercub jump from Sandpoint

Nice bear. 50 yards makes for an exciting hunt. The rest of your bucket list might not be as exciting.

I went with Canoe Bay Outfitters. They have a promo youtube video if you want to check them out. If I were to do it again I would do a spring hunt rather than fall.
