I was going to say the same thing about your entire post, but I figured I'd show you instead.

You guys that think your appeasing anyone by giving up your rights are foolish.
By "sacrificing" a few to save the many all you're doing is delaying the inevitable.
I would rather sacrifice no one. Make an example of the user, not the weapon.
They won't stop at spears, and the general public still thinks we're cold blooded killers. The only one trying to educate them is the schmuck getting crucified by the media. Your attitude of "sacrifice" helps no one but the antis.
Think I'm wrong? Just wait till the next gory archery video comes up on YouTube.

So, as it stands right now, could a person use a spear this season?

Yes as far as I know, there was no regulation changes....just knee jerk reactions.

I read the recent issue of AO magazine, one writer pointed out the AFGA position...while another glossed over that entirely.

Always interesting the different perspectives people have on the the issue.

I think we have to pick our battles. Im not saying i support the ban if spear hunting but as the afga members are saying this one was lost with out us being involved (i am not a member so im taking their word as truth) anyway i think its time to bare teeth and tell organizations that the hunting comunity needs to be properly represented in these matters. If our own sides not lookin out for us i think we might have a fun next few year
