Default Does it bother anybody else ?

When someone talks about their nephew's or niece's like they are their kids, or that they know what it's like being a parent because of their nephew or niece and the few times they have babysit them ? I have kids and niece's on my side and nephews on my wife's side and let me tell you it's not the same.

While I'm on my pet peeve thread does it bother anybody else when someone is not married and refers to their significant other as their "hubby" or "wife" ? It sure does to me considering I am married and it cost a lot of money.

Nope, doesnt bother me. You should worry about more important things.

And an ex will cost your more than a wife/hubby. So be greatful there.

That's annoying too.

I have dogs and they are great one of them is asleep in the bed right now, I wish I could shove a kid in a cage for 8 hours sometimes when they act up.

Given that we have let our government destroy the sanctity of marriage, if a person chooses to live with another person in a marriage like union, they may as well be married. You really aren't getting the milk for free.

What is wrong with calling someone your hubby and what does it have to do with money?

With the laws we have of cohabitating in this country ring or no run it's the same expense.

It's not annoying because why you think it's annoying to me the same way as if an apprentice were to say they were a journeymen, A junior guy at work were to say he's put his time in etc. being unmarried and married are different things just ask any married man.

What's wrong with calling someone that sweeps the floor a sanitation engineer ?

It gives equivalency to something that's not equivalent.

Not at all. I have lived with my Mom and Auntie my whole life and there basically both my Mom except I call them Mom and Auntie.. Two mom's is awesome. One says No and the other Says Yes. My Uncle lives 2 min's away and He's a dad figure to me and he taught me to Fish, Play Guitar, Play Sports, Use Tools ect.

Now what does bug me is when a Family Friend is called Auntie or Uncle but I can't do anything about it so I don't get my scales ruffled about it much.

Sometimes it would be nice to be able to choose your family.

I dont care if people say they are married and they arent or if they are a jouneyman and they arent. I just dont care. Petty things I guess. Does it change your life or have any bearing on your day? I think you just let it bother you and it shouldnt. Worry about more important things.

Slightly annoying...like the pets as kids thing but no big deal.

Maybe you need to cut back on the caffiene?
It might be making you tense.
There are so may other things that are far more irritating I think.

Before I have got married, I knew that if I want to drink milk I do not have to buy a cow. I went for marriage.

That story is similar to mine actually. No real dad around but a handful of uncles and my grandpa. Got my love of fishing from one uncle an hunting from another one, was also very close to my grandma aswell.

Don't start me on calling random people auntie or uncle tha bothers me 1000 times more than hubby, I have 2 nieces and when their mother would call the neighbour or friend uncle I'm sure you could hear my teeth grinding from 2 blocks away.

My kids will never call anybody besides my brother or sister or my wife's sister auntie or uncle. It's supposed to be a special thing.

I never pictured you as an uptight hard-right conservative?

Do you frown on the unbaptized too, and couples who cut their lawns on diagonals?

After thinking about it if my Mom was a single Child and I had no Uncle's or Aunt's and she just had friends around I probably would have called them Uncle or Aunt. Really though their title doesn't mean much. Its what they mean to you I guess.
