Default Eastmen 2 Man IceCube Tent Leg Broke?

Anyone have any problems with their Ice Tents. My Eastmen broke today in the gusting wind. One of the four legs that support the X frame broke with one of the Big Bad Wolf Blows?

Looks like a piece of tent pole could be inserted as a quick fix?

Anyone have other ideas? Anyone have a piece of tent pole they could PIF to me?

You can call eastman ice cube and get a replacement. Do a search on here or i think the number is on the tag inside the bag.

Dude, You have to be careful with those pop up ice tents. I have an eastman and the top snapped down on me on spray in the wind. It gave me a huge black eye. Called up the company to say wtf and got the silent treatment.

Here is a link to the post that Nicemustang was talking about. http://www.outdoorsmenforum.ca/showt...hlight=eastman

The Contact information at Easton is

Ask for Stacey

I believe they used to give poles free. However there is now a charge now for them.

If you have a 4 man Ice Cube that has a broken pole make sure and measure them first. They did tell me that they had made 2 different size poles for the 4 man tent in different years. So be sure and measure them before you call.

I have also heard of others just going to Canadian Tire and getting a fiberglass pole from either the chimney cleaners or the driveway markers and cutting them down to fit into place. Both worked well. But the one I saw with the chimney cleaner pole was fart thicker than the original Easton pole. They make 2 driveway markers one is thick and one thin pole. The thicker one's were better suited for a replacement pole and they are only around $6. The poles are yellow. But if that makes a difference to you then just paint it black.

Cheers,
Rob

I had a eastman tent that did that. Luckily Frabills are a bit better built IMHO with a better hub. What lake were you on when it happened?

Got the 2 man. Was at Gull yesterday in the wind. Big gust and snap. Thought I had been shot!

I broke some of my poles also, call Eastman Outfitters at 1-800-241-4833.make sure you have your model number and the length of the pole in inches. there customer service rocks!! Had mine at my door step in 5 days........
FYI order a few extra so if it happens again you have some replacements

I ordered 3 complete hubs with 4 pole with each hubs, costs me 15.00 per complete hub assembly for a 4 man tent.

FYI: I replaced this pole. It broke again thanks to my handy work. I called Eastman and they sent the pole to me ASAP. Provided great service. I will definately deal with them and their products again!
