Most tailgates now have cameras and it's not easy to unhook the harness

Tow a flatdeck trailer that's 18 inches off the ground... Easy to get them on, and plenty of room for the quad...

Lol... I recognize that truck. See, you can stick around here, just keep it cool.

I never understood the desire for a crane.

As several have mentioned, placing something rigid under the animal allows for easy leverage to slide the animal into the back of a truck or trailer.

Two birds with one stone. Game carrier and loading board. Put end on back of bed, and slide it in. easy and efficient.

Made it twelve years ago at a last minute for a hunt, planning on making the second generation when I got back. Twelve years later and this still works great.

Cut ladder to four feet in lenght, rounded ends with grinder for safety.

Cut wheels from bike, leaving forks intact. Put rod through last ring of ladder, welded bike forks to rod.

It sits flat in a truckbed, take off wheels if desired. Compact, light, cheap, and it works GREAT!

I've taken an elk whole out of the hills, no problem, it is great on the prairies.

I've tried the wheelbarrow thing, it sucks compared to this. I'll try to post a picture later.

It worked well enough that I have yet to make the improvements for model 2. Maybe this year.

1 old mountain bike
1 aluminum ladder ( this one had broken rungs)
2 piece steel tube
2 pieces steel rod
1 piece rope

Angle grinder, metal disk, and baby 110 welder.

double gun, I'm sure you can run with the concept and make a better game carrier. Show me pics when you make it.

And where would you recognize my truck from,,,, it never leaves my driveway I have a company truck, and what do I need to keep cool. You have me confused with someone else. The crane will be used to lift other stuff besides animals, gensets, snow blowers etc.

Pick up the elk quarter, throw it over your shoulder and walk out of the bush. When you get to the truck just let it slide off your shoulder into the box. What are we raising now in Alberta a bunch of weak sissies!
