Default Moose Hunters Follow the Yellow Lines

Well I travelled from North of Fort McMurray late last night leaving at 9pm getting home at 3am. I think all you moose hunters should just park on the yellow dotted line and wait there and your moose will come to you. The big Black Forest horses must be loving the over abundance of salt on the highways, because from the Southside of Fort McMurray to Boyle there were 8 moose just hanging out on the highway or the shoulder of the highway. Keeps a guy on his toes and wide awake just waiting for the next one. Last night they were actually easy to spot with the clear sky and the nice bright full moon. Stay safe on your travels in your dark winter drives everyone.

The best hunting has always been within a mile of a major highway. Something I really like about the LED headlights is they will actually make a moose's eye shine like deer etc. The old Halogen bulbs didn't do that, which made moose even harder to see at might.

Best advice is to slow down during late night on #63. Them big moose make plastic bumpers and fenders into confetti.

And if the hooves come through the windshield with a collision, they remove head from shoulders, drive safe.
