Step 1 - read the reg booklet, all the info is right in there
Step 2 - download the IHunter App
Step 3- click on any of the zones around Edmonton, it will say what is draw, what is general and times the season is open...... easy peasy
Step 4 - no offense but don't expect a bunch of people to jump up and answer a question where the information is very readily available.....

Most on here are happy to point you in the general direction, but they do expect a person to put in some of the work and research too.....

Great info posted previously about the harvest reports. Will give you some info on where the elk "were"

There may be cool people willing to direct you but they don't hang out here. A guy with three posts looking to have someone who has spent 30 years learning how to hunt elk pass on their knowledge has spent too much time on the internet. If you can't find elk track and elk scouting in the summer or Feb through May, when there is no hunting pressure then no one is going to do it for you.

Try being a contributor before you expect to be a taker.

I have a great spot for general elk not that far from Edmonton. Its not far from............

Oh wait this is a public forum, if I tell you then the whole world will know and my spot that I worked hard to find will no longer hold any elk. See where this is going?

Like the fellas above have said put some miles on your boots go exploring. If you've "done all that" like you say above then you should have the IHunter app and already know which zones are general for elk, thats all you need to get started. Get after it man the season is coming soon

You will never see an elk when the season opens as they are night animals.
You need to find some tracks then go back and walk into that area in the dark.
then sit for an hour and just as the ski starts to lighten up start calling .
Asking someone for there elk spot is like asking them for there bank account.
Just head west 2 hrs and start walking
