Default Where to buy soft hackle capes and saddles in Canada

Hello,
Does anyone know of a Canadian fly shop that carries a good assortment of soft hackle feathers? I am tying soft hackle flies and need a better selection of soft hackles than what I have. To order them from the US I get hit with the foreign exchange which is steep. Any help will be greatly appreciated as most fly shops carry either none or a very small assortment. Thank you.

I use whiting hen capes for my soft hackle needs, they are awesome. I get them here, he is a little difficult to deal with, kind of hit and miss on the phone and a little slow with the emails as well. But he has an awesome selection and I have never had an order screwed up. I know you wanted a Canadian supplier, but soft hackle, I found next to impossible to source in Canada.

Hungarian partridge works as good as anything. Most soft hackle feathers are way too big for my needs.

I bought a full Hungarian Partridge cape from The First Cast Fly Shop in Guelph. Kind of pricey but excellent quality and will provide enough soft hackles for the rest of my fly tying life!

Shoot a grouse when the season opens, low price for a .22 shell!

Hen capes can be gorgeous for Soft Hackles. Grouse and Partridge also great. I look for capes that have nice barring. Your local fly shops can also bring them in for you.
