Unusual southern ab white tail!
I shot this buck first thing yesterday morning, and it wasn't untill I got up the the deer that I saw the white patch on it's forehead. Once we got looking, we noticed it's nose is mostly pink. On top of all that, he has white socks on his front feet, and the inside portion of both hoves have no color in them. Any one ever seen anything like this?

Interesting note: "piebald" colouration is a trait found almost exclusively in domesticated mammals. Isn't there a deer farm down the road Andrew??

As a matter of fact there is. Never seen any different looking deer in it. Sure had a few nice bucks though.

Piebald. It's rare in wild whitetails but it does happen. Result of Genetic Mutations.

I remember reading something about a herd of piebald whitetails in the eastern states! It was a few years back and I don't remember the details! I think it was a wild herd though?

Yup, confined by a fence on a military base though. There's a fairly high occurance on Anticosti Island as well.
