Last few days fishing before freeze up in Calgary
A beautiful day today.
Looks like tomorrow may be the last day to toss a fly before switching over to ice fishing gear.

BTY Bow ... looks like from your own back yard/dock, too.
Wondering how it compares to your P.B. out of this pond ?
Cheers

Years ago we got rainbows over 10 lbs stocked. There were some monsters back then. Biggest was 33 inch long. Crazy days.

If you read the stocking reports you can see where they dump the retired brood hens every year.

Yup. However these weren’t brood stock. Just trout grown large in outdoor pens. Back in the day.

Here are a few bigger ones from over the years.
Caught 40 of these in a day... and had tennis elbow as a result.

Mr. SunDF .... my jaw dropped when I seen those monster Bow's.
My P.B. was just over 10# from MB, those look like twice the size.
I imagine you have one of those trophy's on the wall, if not a replica of one.
If I was younger I'd be jealous, now, lots of respect & proud for you.
Tks for sharing.
Cheers
David

Thanks although there are better places to fish than a stocked lake… a well managed stocked lake can be an amazing fishery and yield many great memories.

Yup. And the lake will likely freeze over tonight.
