Default Mink Advice

Hey guys and gals.
I have a resident mink at the farm that is overstaying its welcome and eating my chickens and turkeys.. What are my options here, is it legal for me to shoot or trap it? Or do i need to enlist the services of a registered trapper? Any help would be great. Thanks.

Talk to fish & wildlife. You should be able to get an animal damage control permit either for yourself or someone else ie: a trapper.

Yes, call your local fish and wildlife office and you will have no problem getting a damage controll permit (which you are supposed to have if it is a mink or a weasel).

It's your private property, so protect it and whats on it. Should the mink become the victim, if you like, you can donate it to a trapper. It's what I call, taking care of business...everyday.. We do not need another Royal Commission, should it turn into another long gun fiasco for a mink..
