I've never shot any of the front stuffers or an old black powder cartridge. Of the others it's primarily bolt action centerfires, although I do like the levers and use them once and awhile.

modern inline so-n called muzzle loaders shooting smokeless?
Sorta like kissin' yore sister.
Although it may be considered alright in some parts of the country, you wouldn't catch me doin' it!!

Hawkin style muzzle loaders for me, doesn't matter flint or cap, but prefer cap.Falling blocks, and other single shot actions, caliber is not an issue except for the .243 (go back to statement about sister! )
original rifles chambered in stuff like 577/450 or .577 Snider are very cool.
Lecvers? Nah, unless it's an original '95 Winny in 30/40 or some such.
Bolt actions are just another piece of equipment, and unless very old and unique, lacking in any pizazz!
Hunting with rifles , for me, anyway, has to be fun with a firearm that I like to hunt with, not because of its lethality ( tech term ) because they'll do well, but for the hunt itself.
I have most evrey type of action around, and don't pick a rifle because it may be better than another.
If I did that I'd be using Remchester bolt action or a Tikkaby in 30'06 loaded with whatever 180 grain bullet was around with a 3X9 whatever on top.
As the great Charley Sisk said a while back " Shut up and go hunting"!

LOL......nope, i only like bolts, single shots and lever actions like marlins and winnies when it comes to centrefire.

you know, one of my most accurate guns is a Stevens 200 and a cheap bushnell trophy scope, i bought it used for $150 as a project gun to get painted. Damn ugly, but wow. the step son might use it for his first ever deer this year, at least then i dont care if he drops or scratches it.

Well lets see...out of your 11 choices I have already 8 covered. I like em all ..but have a preferance to the drop blocks. I'm missing the matchlock, the flintlock and the centrefire pump. But i'm always looking

Dick,

These guys have a couple of nice LH flintlocks:http://www.trackofthewolf.com/index.aspx

Personally, I like them all, but have a heavy predilection toward CRF bolt rifles.

I looked, it's a US outfit!
I'm not in that dire of need to go through that much BS to have one.

Flinchhlocks are fun, and can be deadly accurate, but I never got in to the Pennsylvania/kentucky rifle thing like I did the Hawken caplocks.
I just love Hawken rifles!!
matchlocks? great big "YAHOO!" factor, and I'd lokely have as much fun with them as my Snider, but it's the whole " I wanna hunt with THIS rifle" thing again.
As it turns out it's gonna be stick 'n'string ( flatbow and cedars) this fall !

Dick,

Yes they are American. I've spoken with a few guys from our neck of the woods who have ordered from them. Apparently, quite painless. I gather that fllintlocks etc. aren't as tightly controlled. Just what I've been told, I don't have any BP at all.

Always liked the look of that Lyman Great Plains Rifle.
