These pretty much cover all my needs for firearms. I'm kinda thinkin' a small cal. shotgun might be alright to have for ruffies though. Hmmmm...

I know some that croak and still buy firearms.

This thread would make a good shopping list for a crook.

I've got a l,ot of rifles that I ws "collecting", but have decided that I need some new equipment, not firearms, so am going to sell some, like my Anschutz super match, and others I do not use.
This way I can get a newer high end spotting scope ,,Sworovski or Zeiss, and still not hit that bank account too hard.
I want to get a remote camera system to look at my targets at 500 and 1,000 meters also, and they can be pricey.

That means some of my rifle and shotguns will have to go.
It will likely trim me down to about 75 rifles....

Why did you stipulate "not including handguns"? They are firearms and many that own them have a lot of fun shooting them at the range. Some have permits to carry for self defence and survival. One day we may have some form of hunting opportunity with them.

I have probably got too many guns. I have to think too hard to figure out what I have got.

I think the crooks already have a good idea on what kind of weapon they want.....unless they want yours from your house. (yours) is used in a general sence.

You can include "handguns" if you want. I was just thinking of hunting rifles....which I should have made clear at the start of the thread.

.22 LR (P.O.S. Savage)
.22-250 (LH Rem 700........cant remember specifics, but it will likely be reborn as a 6.5-.284 in a year or so)
7mm-08 (Rem LSS Mountain Rifle)
7mmSTW (Customized LH Rem 700)
30/30 WCF (Old P.O.S. Savage/Stevens Bolt Action)
30/06 (Customized Win Mod. 70 Pushfeed)
.300 Win. Mag. (Mark Bansner "Ultimate Sheep hunter")
.338 Win. Mag. (Mark Bansner "Ultimate"...My most used Rifle)
.416 Rem. Mag. (Ruger #1)
.416 Rem. Mag. (Custom LH MRC)
.450 Marlin (Marlin Guide Gun)
Win. Defender 12 Ga.
LH 12 Ga. Benelli Superblack Eagle

I also have a .280 (maybe .280 A.I.) being built on a Jim Borden Action, and a SS LH MRC Action that very likely will be a .404 Jeffery, but havent ruled out a .358 Norma or a .458 Lott.

I have also been really pondering a TC Encore for the last bit...Time will tell!

ps....Crooks need to know, all of these can/will be loaded in short order!!!!

I like your collections, but some of us have to live with the essentials;

22LR Rem bolt
30-06 Savage bolt ( puts most of the meat on the table)
12 gauge Rem pump
20 gauge Brasilian SXS (for small critters)

would like a lighter hunting rifle and an Anschutz match but the finance minister may not approve

None of your business, the WIFE may see it, she is already making noises about the knives. Like "how much did you pay for the Ray Ratanen damascus"?????

Lets not get into the knives.
My wife thinks we own a few handmade 'paring' knives.
