Try Telegraph pond. It's small but cozy. And it's full of small trout. Even my 5-year old one got 4 fishes there. For something more exciting you can go to the Pigeon Lake. I used my boat there so can't say anything about shore fishing. And before going anywhere check regulations: http://www.albertafishingguide.com

That website has many inaccuracies.

Use the actual regulations.

Good point! The best way is to get 2016 book and have it in your truck.

The River? She deliver!

You just got to know the spots. Right now, no good due to the run off. Most good shore spots are submerged too.

But, so far, I've had an incredibly year on the river. I even caught a Sturgeon in town, a few weeks back. I wasn't even fishing for sturgeon!

Tip, go upstream where the water is clean and clearer. Hopefully clears up soon!
And bring some facking bug spray too..lots of it

I have been out 4 times since all this runoff appeared and have got 1 goldeye and 1 burbot. The river is "Safety D" certified DEAD right now!

I guess the Brazeau dam was opened. Likely the river won't clear until the end of the summer now.
