Wife and I went to Lilooet BC for some sturgeon fishing. What an awesome trip! First picture is my biggest at 6'-9" and the other is my wife's biggest at 6'. We caught 5 in total.

We used River Monster Adventures as our guide. They are from Drayton valley so they are kinda local. The guide that took us grew up in the town and knew the river really good. Highly recommend them.

Very cool! Any plans on pursuing Pallid or Shovelnose in the future?

They fought really good. Mine got in the main current and ran we had to chase it down the river for a mike or so. Took about 30-40 to land it!

Going to try for them in the nsr this weekend. Might take the jet boat down to Chase BC this summer yet depending on work.

Congrats to both of you!

Were you a sturgeon virgin before this trip? I've never fished the upper Fraser but I've fished the lower reaches between Hope and Mission quite a bit. I've got a trip booked for next week, I heard they have been catching some big ones west of the mission bridge so I'll have to grab a saltwater license too.

I was absolutely amazed by these fish during my first trip. They are addictive! Your post revived old memories for me. Thank you for sharing your trip with us, and congratulations.
