Default Kids arrows and release

What are my best options for kids arrows and a release? Picking up a diamond infinite edge for my 9 year old.

My son loves his Infinate Edge. Hope your child gets some good use out of it.
My 3 kids shoot Beaman ICS JR Hunters. Good for up to 40lbs draw weight. Not too pricy.
I am big fan of Scott releases. The Heros fit small hands. They can be a bit uncomfortable but are awesome and very adjustable. Tru fires bullseye junior release is a nice comfortable option for kids as well.

Good luck!

For the money those Beman ICS JRs cant be beat...
Jr Releases are quite inexpensive however just find one that is both adjustable on wrist and on release itself..many cheap ones are on a solid ready rod that is way too long for most youth..and its a pain to adjust...

Yup, one more reason to go with a Scott release. With the "infinite" adjustment strap you can easily get it to fit a small shooter. As well the Scott triggers are awesome!

Bought my son an atomic for Christmas and was looking at the hero release. Thanks for the feed back.

What are your thoughts on adding peeps and kisser buttons on kids bows?

FYI my son is 6 if that makes a difference.

If using sights I always add a peep, kissers I use if bow has a soft wall or no wall for a draw check....

If he is just going to shoot and have some fun I don't add too much... most times I only add when a kid wants it,

Depending on your son, he might find a peep etc a bit too much going on?
My sons both started on an old browning bow with a 3 pin sight. They shot using fingers and no peep / or kisser button. I tried to teach them form and consistent anchor points, my one boy was killing gophers at 15 yards with this set up when he was 9 or 10.

I say start simple and see if it works for him. If he is having a hard time getting consistent then add some aids for him.

good luck and have fun, archery with the kids is a blast!!
