Default Gull Lake - Fly Fishing?????

Morning everyone,

I have searched the forum and still have not found precisely what I am looking for. I am heading to Gull Lake to christen a friends new pontoon boat with fishing package (live well, fish finder, etc). I have used my spinning rod out there a couple times and have done well but would like to try my fly rod. I just discovered Icky Fly Works and am just about to squeeze the trigger on a order but am interested to know:
Is it worth fly fishing that lake for pike and waleye?
What would I use? I am assuming a streamer on a sinking tip?
Or, should I just use my spinning set up and skip the FF?

I'd really like to know how it goes. I try it a couple times a year and have yet to succeed.
