Default Lake of the falls

Hi all: Has anyone been up to lake of the falls? I am heading there this weekend to do some fishing. I believe it is a stocked lake but I am not too certain as to what might be there (cutts maybe). Just curious also to whether or not there are some camps/treed areas in case of inclement weather. I know there is a lot of hikers that head there but not too sure about campers

yup there are cutts in there and fairly eager for flies and hardware.
lots of room to cast from shore as well.

The trees are pretty stunted but there provide enough cover.
There is also lost lake at the Y on the trail coming in that might have bigger fish because of the less pressure (helicopter tours to the lake of the falls).

Its definately a place to see.

Thanks for the info. Looks beautiful and now I am super stoked to fish it. Regs are good to go. Cutts limit 2, bull limit 0, bait ban. We are fly fishing so now worries there for bait.

how's the hiking trails up there? Hopefully the rain doesn't make it wet and slippery

We are flying in for the day. I am not too sure about the trails but one day I would love to find out. Two young kids isn't too permitting for a week camping trip with the guys right now, but hopefully soon......Fingers crossed for the weather. A few days of rain followed by a 18 degrees & partly cloudy day on the day we are supposed to fish. Hopefully will make for a few hungry and aggressive fish.
