Default Synthetic stock question....

can anyone help me out with some advice on drilling a swivel stud into a synthetic stock??? I put the stock onto my 870 and don't want to screw it up......thx

If it's a coarse thread on the stud, drill a big hole. If it's a fine thread, drill a small hole. Make sure it's centered and straight- and that the base of the swivel is parallel to the contour of the stock.

I use a smaller dril as a pilot first.

Anytime I figure I've got this long range thing figured out, I just strap into the sling and irons and remind myself that I don't!

there are some other options than drilling a hole for a sling, like a sling mount that fits to the side and in between the stock and receiver. Just giving info.
