Default Cure for the "OFF" season....

Taken with the bow...same as hunting tackle using Judo point heads...

Find a good buch or willow patch with lots of tracks...get in the rabbit mode...some find it them really hard to spot...its usually one black eye or the ear that gives them away...once you get on to it ...most fun with your long johns on!!!

Bunny Burgers are soooo good!!

I think I might try this with my stick bow. Seems like a relatively "close" range quarry? 25 yards and less Neil?

Off season? There is no such thing. I managed to get two magpies with one arrow this morning using coyote carcass as bait an shooting out a house window.
Trouble with rabbits this time of year is I loose my arrows even with the judos

That's why I'm thinking my stick bow with some flu-flus would be a lot of fun!

I have a ton of those critters running around my place, when im in my hunting grounds i can't remember the last time i saw even any tracks for one. Bunny stew would be great and the practice even better !

Yup...sometimes they will hold up and shots are close. .3-5 yds

I'm thinking about trying this, and get some good practice in. My regular hunting bow shouldn't be too much for them should it? As long as i have some small game heads?

Where's the best place the shoot a rabbit? In the head?

With the Judo...I prefer the ole behind the shoulder mid body shot as with big game...its quick ...but they may run a few yards...the head shot in the right spot although small will pin them on the spot...

I was just browsing for some small game heads. And saw some homemade small game heads. Lol. Funny thing is, they looked like they'd work pretty good. Haha. Any of try some homemade heads?

Back in the day we used to use empty 30-30 caseings for blunts on our homemade bows...lol

Before commerial small game heads were availible we would take a big washer and file it into a star like shape and screw that on under field point devestating also...lots of work and they get bent up quickly...

My opinion is spend $7.99 for a pack of two Judos point that last forever unless you shoot that gopher head that is actually a rock...lol

They make an arrow the hardest to lose hands down and are devestating on small game...

This is what a Judo does to pop can...
