Default Fly tying lamp

Bought an Ottlite about a year and a half a go now is toast , not happy with the longevity of the lamp but liked the light for tying, any other suggestions any has had good luck with ?

What is toast on it. It's just a lamp cord and a switch I have lamps that are 50 years old and still work.

Check there web site looks like you may need special bulbs with built in ballasts

Default Ott lights

You may have trouble getting parts for your light. They wanted me to send mine to the US to get it fixed. Not nice. mine didn't last long, then junk.

Just to add to the above post. I bought a BLUE MAX lamp. 1/2 the cost of an OTT light. Uses standard ballast in the base and standard lamps. All easily replaced. I have the floor model for my tying and reading as it has an dimmer on it. You can get a floor or table model. I have a true light, daylight lamp in it. Very nice with no eye strain. Being an electronic ballast there doesn't seam to be any flicker.
