Default Banff/Lake Louise

In september ill be heading to castle mountain between banff/louise. Its right on the bow essentially, wondering if anyone has experience fishing that part of the bow or if a little drive would be better. Also tips on how to tell if a particular area has fish/is good to fish.

Try some of the tributaries. Smaller fish, but I always find they are more productive.

Do you think they're more productive only because they're a
Smaller body so it's easier to cover that?
I feel when I fish big rivers there's too much to cover

Seriously wondering because I don't like fishing big rivers at all, I find tributaries a lot more productive too

I think all those points are valid, especially if you're not use to fishing bigger waters.

Mainly, I like the intimacy of the small creek experience. Plus, there are often good opportunities for sight fishing… My FAVOURITE!

There are three or four tribs right on the way to where you're headed. Stop and have some fun!
