Default Last chance buck

My last day of hunting on November 19th. After lots of miles through heavy timber and well-traveled deer trails, I was able to sneak up on this buck. Nose to the ground following a hot doe trail, he was completely unaware of my presence. Unable to get a shot at him initially and losing him through the heavy bush, I snuck up to where I last saw him. He had doubled back around behind me and came back out towards a narrow trail 20 yards away from me! I took the shot and initially thought that I had missed because he was so close. He ran into the bush about 30 yards and expired. Now the hard work began. Two and a half quarter sections away from my truck on foot through heavy bush and hills, almost 4 hours later had him loaded!

Very nice!

Nothing like giving them a wedgie and a sleigh ride.
