I have been training a new dog and this will be his first season. Not sure who is more excited -- him to get off the diet of wings on bumpers and onto the real deal or me to see how he does on his first bird.

Not really very excited. I doubt my dog will make it to hunting season. I'm probably going to have to put him down in a month or two... He has been my constant hunting and fishing companion for over 11 years.

Just pulled a card from trail cam and 2 days ago the white tail fawns still have very visible spots. I think the calf moose are still suckling and I have an antlerless moose draw this year. Have to say, I'm not that excited about arrowing a cow in 3 weeks. I think I'll hold off till end of season.
I'm a little excited about a big bodied 5x4 WT buck thats been hanging around.
