Southern Alberta Ram
Here is the ram I took in southern Alberta on October 27. He is 40.5" on the long horn and 36.5" on the broomed side. He has 17" bases and fish and wildlife aged him at 10.5 years old.
I rough scored him at 186 1/8 with a net score of 180 4/8.
I also took a ram in the same area in 2014 that was 36 6/8" on both horns and scored 171 4/8 net and was 8.5 years old. I find it quite a coincidence that both these rams would have been born the same year.

Beauty. Age, weight, length, dark cape, over the counter tag, do it yourself hunt. That ram has it all and defines what sheep hunting in Alberta is about.

Awesome ram lucky bugger, i have been going back there 10 years and seen some rams that always needed another year or two i was back there on the 29th couple days to late i just found the bones you left behind.
