Default finally a moose

well I finally did it bow hunting for 10yrs killed alot of animals but never a moose.I have always bow hunted around the city and never had much moose action around where I bow hunt.I did pass a couple bulls up a few years ago but I did that because my buddy had already given me some moose from his hunt up north.I missed 1 a year ago when I got drawn up north,42yrds and shot over his back.well this year I finally got some of the best permission a guy could ask for.All year I have been passing cows and calfs up and 2 of my buddys that come out with me had shot 2 bulls out of that feild already.so things were not looking good for me.I finally decided that if a cow walks by I am sending and arrow her way,but low and behold a bull showed up on the oppisite side of the field that afternoon.I sat a watched him all evening I even had a cow walk by me at 15yrds and didn't want to shot because there was a bull around.I sat the stand 2 days a he came out of the same place 2nd days in a row so I moved the 3rd day and he never showed.the 4th day I moved back to my favorite stand again where the cows always come I got up in my stand got all my gear ready sat down and not 10min later I look behind me and ther he was at 10yrds looking at me.he came in so quiet.he looked at me for a few seconds and started to move into my shooting lane.I came to full draw and once he put a hoof into the field that was 20 yrds.he stepped into the field turned 1/4ing away and whack right into the boiler room.he ran 10yrds and flipped over it was the best feeling of my life.I don't to this day know how I didn't fall out of my stand because I was so excited.hes not the biggest bull but he is the biggest animal I have every shot with my bow.this will be a hunt i will talk about for the rest of my life.

Good job, there would be some nerves for sure with that guy standing there looking at you 10 yards away. Congrats.

Congrats on your moose.

Congrats! A moose was my goal with the bow this season, and I'm glad to see you got it done before me. BTW, your bull is like 10 times bigger than BB's, so rub it in!

Great stuff and thanks for sharing!

His right side is interesting, wonder what it would have looked like in a few years?
