children and hunting
Dale7637's thread ( mom left us alone for the evening ) got me thinking of a good pic thread idea.
Whats your favorite pic of your kid ( grandkid, niece, nephew, cousin...) hunting related, or simply being out and enjoying the outdoors?
Post em up!
Heres a couple of my favorites.
My daughters with my 2009 buck:
And that same year, late Nov. my wife got this young buck, and the girls were just in awe - inspecting everything!
If you have any kids and hunting photos and would like to share, post them here.

Nice picture.....and I see one has offered to do an autopsy on it...LOL.
Oh, and it looks like your hands will be full in 9 or 10 years and you'll possibly have gray hair too with three girls. Am heading out with the 17 month grandson in just a few shorts days. Hoping to be able to add a pic or two to the thread.

I took one of my daughters out on her first hunt a couple weeks ago. We set up the wall tent, cut firewood, hiked a bunch, got the land cruiser stuck (temporarily) and had an overall great time. We only saw a couple whitetails and she didn't have a shot, but it was still lots of fun.
Hopefully heading out again in November for a few days.

Here's one with my oldest two boys. It was -35 when I shot my elk, but they wanted tocone help me recover it and watch me gut, skin, etc. a couple days ago my 18 month old boy grabbed the tv remote and started pointing it at the TV and saying buck and making gun noises. So I turned on the hunting channel for him and ge got a big smile on his face. I've got my 4th son on the way in January, so there will be a lot of hunting with the boys over the next 30years or so!

It's about time you posted this picture
And you forgot to mention how sick she was when you were out hunting.

I love threads like these! I have really enjoyed seeing the pictures this year of the kids hunting especially Jamie with his son and Muzzleloader and his boy, I hope to share a moment with my son like that this year.
Here are my 2 hunting partners a few years ago helping me look for elk.
And here they are last year posing with a deer I got on the last day of our hunt.
My older boy is 12 and has a few deer tags burning a hole in his pocket. He has been hunting with me since he was 5 and is very excited to try and a get his own deer. Usually we head out hunting the third week of September, this year things did not come together for that. But I am planning a november hunt and cant wait to get out in the bush with my boys again!

2010 double
This is my fav picture of my boys when they were 16 and 13. We were in a ground blind and 3 bucks came out. The 16 yr old got his first, and the rest hung around long enough for the 13 yr old to get one as well!

Took my crew of 3 out for a quick trip to one of the release sites on Monday after we watched the Remembrance Day celebrations together... Very much to my surprise we had the place to ourselves. No chicken truck - at least not where we were as there were only 2 sets of tracks in and out - mine and the guy who left as we were arriving - but we managed to find one bird and saw lots of track in the fresh snow regardless. Little dude was slowing us down a bit as far as chasing the track going into the heavy cover but we all had a great couple of hours. Note little man and his battle sword that he carried the entire trip!

Went out looking for deer over the Rememberance Day weekend. Our 15 year-old neice came along for the ride hoping to play with some horses and maybe get a chance to drive the truck. She drove the truck all day - overhill and dale, through snow drifts 2 feet deep etc. Was neat talking about everything and anything as huntin' buddies do. She's all gung-ho now to get her FAC now so she can come out with a gun next year. What have I done???? Have I created a MONSTER?
Wish I had taken pictures.....

Great Thread! Hits close to home and heart! This year was my first year taking out my two children (4 and 2) hunting. And they loved it almost as much as I did taking them.
