Bear...that hits me a bit hard. About a year and a half ago, I lost my youngest brother, who was born on Jan. 19, 1983, to a climbing accident. True, he wasn't my son...but he had been my baby brother for over 29 years, and it was an awful experience to go through. My parents were absolutely devastated. Fortunately, there has been great support from some friends and family members. Seek those people out -- don't run away from them. This is a time when you need to know how much they really love and care for you.

Oh no. That's horrible.
I use to think that losing my father was the worst pain I'd ever feel. But now as a father myself I know there's much, much worse and it's every parent's worst fear.
I wish I had some magical words to ease your pain but there are none. Know, however, that there is a whole community here for you if you need.
My deepest condolences....

We thank everyone for the prayers and we'll wishes. My brother touched the hearts of a lot people in the spruce grove/stony plain area. My brother Travis will be in the hearts of many people and watching down on us all. As I read all the comments I'm proud to be part of this forum. There is a lot of very sincere people here. As I said before I thank you all for the support towards my family.

Bear- so sorry to hear about your son. I feel like I met him during one of our transactions?? Was it Travis or Dan? that bought that old Savage 25-20 rifle from me and refinished it?

The one thing I took away from the few times you and I met is that you seem to have a great, close family unit. Hold on to that, you will all need each other in the coming days.

Hang in there Friend.
