Default diamond rings

i know this is a outdoors forum but i'm going off topic for a minute. been looking at diamond engament rings the last couple days, man are they pricey. finally found the one i think she'd like and in her size over two grand,($2,399pluse gst) i can pick up a really nice riffle and scope for that.is it wrong to get down on one knee and ask her to marry you and give her a browning. all kidding aside pick up the ring today cann't belive how nervous i am.

Good for you! Your nervous because it's important to you, ...it's all good

I've heard of shotgun weddings, maybe go for that angle, two birds-one stone kinda deal....of coarse I'm kidding, congrats chain

Congrats man. I remember the nervousness like it was yesterday. Just focus on how happy she's going to be once you show it to her.

Best of luck.

CONGRTAS. Good for you. Maybe after you can treat yourself to the new rifle. My wife's (fiance @ the time) rifle (Tikka T3 LS 270WSM with Leupold VX3 BC reticle scope- she took this rifle over do I bought myself another...lol)

Good thing too, as she has been the one putting the meat on the table the past 2 seasons. Moose 2 years ago, and a cow elk last.

Good luck to you and your future fiance.

Feel relieved mud slug, you got off lucky.I took the future wife to the jeweler to let her pick out her own ring, and it cost me a great deal more than what you spent.
I felt so bad that I went out and bought myself a new car to get even.

That's AWESOME Mud! You know what you should do? Tack weld it to the fridge!

Seriously though, good luck bud! Who can say no to a guy that goes by 'Mud Slug'? Oh yeah, I was going to be serious.

Personally, I know someone who took the time to carve, "*********, will you marry me into the side of a tree that was kindda off the beaten track. That was years ago, and we, er THEY go back every year to see it. Nice tradition, don't hurt the tree, and kids names can be added also as time goes on. Kindda cool.

AND, if she says no, let me know. I have this sister thats just AWESOME! 350 with 8 kids, but she jsut LOVES slugs! Let me know!

Tree

PS Good luck bud!

You should propose to her in the limo on the way to dinner. That way, when you go to the party, she can show the ring to everyone. I proposed to my wife when I got home from a week in the bush hunting moose. She didn't seem to mind the stench.

First of Congrats,
Love is like a forest fire once it is started it is a hard thing to put out. Also don't let the measure of your wallet dictate your love for your wife. So many people think it about the size of the stone and miss the symbolizism that it means.
These are going to be excitting times ahead.
Congrats again and may all the best come to you both.

Mud, congrats! From a female stand-point, go for the limo proposal and not after all the hoopla. If you wait till you get home-she may actually have expected something and be a tad bit dissapointed and then happy of course, but believe me she may already know something is up and be waiting and waiting all night. If ya pop the question in the limo all will be good for you.

No need for a boat. She floats quite nicely all by herself..........seats 4 comfortably in fact! As for field dressing a moose, I think that 4 of the 8 were SIRED by one!

The engagement ring is very important and means everything. It also lets a girl know if her man will be cheap, or if he'll try to get her the best and biggest ring that he can.

Most ladies expect a diamond ring; there are some ladies who prefer a different stone.

Look at it this way, an engagement ring is like a super bowl ring, except that it's not just because of a game, it's for life.

I would take this of a sign of things to come.

Maybe take that ring back and go buy the scope

Hope she says "yes"
