Question Castle provincial Park firearm discharge permit only good until November 30th???

....guess the guys hunting cougars December 1st in that area will be wrestling the cats out of the tree's....lol.

But honestly was thinking of doing some late season grouse hunting this year as it's open until Jan 15th 2018.I went to download my "discharge permit" for the castle PP and it says only valid from sept 1 to nov 30th??? Guess I'll be joining the cats guys and killing game with my bare hands...

Going to the provincial building Tommorow to deal with this and drop off a deer Jaw....

probably because they don't want to disturb the guided snowshoe trips that alberta parks is putting on....

Any idea how the snow is out there? I’m suppose to go for a cougar in that area come the 1st but all this warm weather and no snow in the forecast has me thinking it’s not gonna happen.

I don't believe it. Lalalalalalalalaaaaaaa.....

No way Parks would reduce current opportunity hunting here....

I hunted the area lots this year.

One parks guy checked me and my boy out.... never asked for the permit. Did ask to see licenses.
Friendly guy.
Even wanted to show me where the elk were.... but I'm tagged out there.
I'll be grouse hunting there on snowshoes.... maybe I can do that with the touring groups...

Your planning on grouse hunting in the park without a discharge permit?

Nothing....could'nt get a hold of anyone who dealt with the discharge permit for the park....however.....off topic...

Apparently they hav'nt excepted deer teeth for ageing purposes for many years....got an older buck this fall that I wanted aged. The individual I talked to was great...he explained how I can do it myself however there is a special dye you need so you can see the enamel rings in the teeth to count the deers age, much like that of rings on a tree.....
