Default Snaro Tips for birds

Just wondering if anyone has ever tried a Snaro tip for birds before?
If so which size 3" or 6"?

own some never had any luck with them. don't work worth a hoot when shooting ducks on the water the wire catches the water and the arrow flips.

your not supposed to use them on water. I've heard that the 3" are better as the 6" is heavier and doesnt fly as well. But, not totaly sure. maybe check out the 3riversarchery website, I think they have customer product reviews.

you're not "supposed" to do a lot of things. I was just pointing out one of the problems I found with them. I used a blunt in the end, better for the circumstances. Just remember the other disadvantage is the snaro can't contact the back of the bow. (which would pull the arrow off the string).

I had a friend who tried to get me to try them once - no thanks, couldn't get thmem into my back quiver!!
he did however, and the results were dismall to say the least.
one partridge was hit and flew off ( 60lb compound at 30 yards) and several others never made it through the trees to the bird.
Nope, I'll stick with a broadhead.....
