Oh, this I like a lot. Why should taxpayers pay for these young articling lawyers to practice their trade on our dime. Happens all the time. If they lose, or in this case, don't even have standing, they should pay the City's legal
costs.

Unfortunately, our government is paying the bill for many lawyers, even when those lawyers are opposing the government.

i got a ticket once from a cn cop for not stopping when the train crossing lights turned on , on wye road when i was 10 feet from the track doing the 100km per hour speed limit , went to court , judge tossed the ticket . I asked her for cn to pay for lost wages and she just laughed at me . But i'm with the city on this one , its time these loon groups pay for their choices.

Pretty easy fix if Counsel had thought about it.

Get a representative plaintiff from one of the homeless camps, file a class action, get it certified, and then you have Standing.

But as to Costs, this is the risk that Principle will carry for those who wield the sword for the ones who don't have any motivation to wield it for themselves.

Premier Smith identified that most of these homeless camps where being managed by Organized Crime that was selling drugs to their many willing customers in the homeless camps.
