Default 35 Remmington Factory Ammo Supply

I am having trouble finding 35 Rem ammo for my Marlin 336 lever action - does anyone have a suggestion where I might buy some online and shipped?

Also, anyone tried the Hornady Lever Revolution? In any caliber. Is it safe to load and fire in an older (45 year) gun?

Thx for any advice given.

I used hornady ammunition in my 30-30 from the 1970s with out any issues, it was quite accurate.

I wouldn't worry about a 45 year old gun..... It's still Young!

OK thx. I'll give them a call and see if they will ship some of the Hornady - their website claims it gets an extra 200 ft/sec which would be great with 200 grains.

Im going to need it when I find that monster bear I dreamt of last night.

The Hornady Leverlution shoots a group like a shotgun pattern in my 72 vintage 444 marlin. The micro groove 1 in 38 twist which is what your vintage 35 Remington will be is hit or miss with the Hornady Leverlution stuff. It was designed for the newer 1 in 20 twist Ballard rifling.

I use leveRevolution in my 1967 336 in .35 rem. I haven't tried anything else as Hornady was the only stuff I could find. Once in a while I come across some 150gr Corlokts but the 200grn slug was why I bought the rifle in the first place. Since I was having a hard time finding ammo for it I ended up reloading for my 336 with the 200gr FTX bullets and the LeveRevolution powder. So far I'm happy with the results.
