I’ve always used Talley lightweights on tikka rifled. Lows will work up to 40mm obj and medium will be from that up. Optiloks areto expensive in my opinion.

Yes they are that crazy expensive that’s why I was wondering what else was out there , I don’t mind spending the money if it’s worth it . Thanks for the info

Talleys go in the tapped holes on top of the receiver they are nice. I also have warne made for the grooved receiver rail it’s a great system and you can set the rear ring where you want along the rail.you can get other rings for the tikka rail but I have not used them. I dislike opti locks I have tried on my Sako.

I have the Leupold rings and bases on my Kimber, just to keep everything as light as possible. On every other rifle I have, I use rails. Get the rail for your rifle and then use whatever rings you want. I like the Burris Zee rings on most of mine.

Burris xtb bases.
Burris Zee, or better yet, Burris Signature Zee rings.

I put Talley Lows with a Vortex 4x15x50 on mine. There is just enough room for the lens caps that came with it. Keeps your head low for a good check weld.

It depends a bit on the scope you have in mind and your uses for the rig, but I prefer rails on most of my rifles these days. It's hard to pass up on the sturdy, effortless mounting and ease of moving scopes around. For a Tikka, the Mountain Tactical or Area 419 rails offer great design features. Mount the rail properly, add a quality ring and you're not likely to have any mount related problems at all.

If I were to go with light, direct mount rings for a Tikka, the Sportsmatch would be my first choice. Seen a few Talley LWs crack and can't be bothered anymore.

Default Pic Rail

I always put picatiny rails on my Tikka's It is my prefered method of mounting. You can then choose any rings you want.
