Default World Record Elk?

I got an email from a buddy about this being a new world record for typical Elk. It was shot in the Blackfoot Mountains in Idaho.

Has anyone heard about this?

All reports I have read indicate it is a high-fence farm animal. Boone and Crockett has some details on the Trophy Watch part of their website.

Default Ranch Bull

Its a ranch bull! Check out B&C website, news/trophywatch.

Potential NWW whitetail shot in Sask this year, 228g, 218net pics are out there. 30" beams, 30" spread, 50" mass. Kind of a ugly looking deer but could be the one!

wow even if it is a high fence animal witch i don't agree with it's still an incredible Elk. I cant believe the mass. I wonder what that guy paid to kill it if it was in fact a fenced elk. And I hope he let the guy shoot him after that bull bread all of his cows http://www.outdoorsmenforum.ca/image...shakeshout.gif
