That is the craziest looking Moose Rack I have ever seen.
What is the spread on those antlers? They look to me to be over 60"
Possibly getting close to 70"
Have you had it scored? I'm wondering if the length of those points would get him into the record books, even without large paddles.

Tine length means nothing when scoring moose. Height and width of palms, number of points, spread and one base circumference. But yes im with you.. i would love to know what this epic beast scored.
Congrats on the unique moose huntingd .

thank you for the welcoms and the congratulations. i have not had it scored it is currently at the taxidermist. i rushed it there the next day to avoid spoiling the velvet. as far as i know there is no category for non typical moose but this being my first moose i could be wrong. the bull was taken in one of the southern zones.

Thanks huntingd.
I am curious how he will score since he has next to no palms.
I realize that the length of the points is not considered so far as the points themselves is concerned. However both the overall width and the overall height does in effect count point length. I'm wondering if that might put your bull in the books.
I kinda doubt it though, I'm thinking that many, if not most of his points may be counted as abnormal and that could put him well below book minimum.
I have never had a Moose scored nor do I know anyone who has. But I'd like to know more about what a trophy book Moose might look like.
Don't get me wrong. I've seen plenty of Moose, I used to guide Moose hunters, and I've shot several myself. But Everyone I know hunts for meat not trophys. So now I want to learn about that side of things.

Last one I saw like that had no sex organs. It was in velvet as it had no hormones.
