Default Got out to the Bow today

Got out this afternoon, it was pretty nice out and I've had the itch for a while now.

I picked up some new wading boots and had to give them a try.

Fishing was ok, managed to land two rainbows, two whites and even a little hammerhandle pike. Lost a few others but over all a good few hours outside.

I was down between the Calf Robe and Glennmore. Does anyone know why there's that one area south of the Calf Robe that full of broken glass?? It looks like it gets dumped there. What gives??

Should be reported, may be illegal dumping.

I think it is old backfill from decades ago. The river is slowly eroding the bank and exposing the old fill

Yes ole glass beach.... don't trip there, ouch. From what I have been told that area was a unofficial dumping area in the 50 into the mid 60s, you'll also find large rolls of barb wire, asphault and bricks there. right after run off you can find some sweet old bottles. I actually forego that 20' section on that beat I don't need the problems of slipping there.

My new bike was almost stolen right near where all those broken bottles are.

Yesterday in the NW there were no midges. I saw one winter stonefly.
