Hoping to take the day off work and head out and do some early season moose hunting for the day! If that doesn't work, I'll be in the whitetail stand hoping to drop a doe on the first day!

Wont be out opening day, but when the first week of september hits and the kids are back in school I will be hitting the road (field sales trip for work )with my bow in tow.

Mostly I will concentrate around GP, looking for that love crazed Elk to come to my calls. But I am sure I will end up other places that will be open as well and who knows what I might find!

My number one goal this year is to arrow an animal I can put a tag on, I would be very happy with a couple of does for the freezer.

I am probably going to wait it out and hit up some moose and whitetail in late September/early October. I tend to not see as many deer in the early season. Too much food in the bush.

if any serious bow hunters are looking for a partner or someone to go with give me a shout we can even take the jet boat and hunt from the river.

Limpopo. Should be good!
Not many Whitetails but the variety should be a little more diverse.

Question OH Oh!

I noticed that Pheasant was opening in the 200's on Sept 1. This is new I think. Bird hunters are hard wired to think it opens Oct 15. I was going to go to Rochon Sands release site and work the dog.

I don't want to be out there with big game hunters. I saw the biggest white tail buck I've ever seen on that property last year.

Do you think this is safe, a bunch of bird dogs and their owners plus friends out there when people are trying to hunt big game?

Sept 3/4 either a spot of private land up by Whitecourt or in the bowzone. Like Kayaker, I am hoping to get my first arrowed deer this year.

.....there is really no need to point the finger in other hunters and it sounds as if you do not wish to share the resourses.

May be close to some of you Timba & Buckbrush,
I'll be in the Little Smokey area of 360 Aug 31 - Sept 4, with the Hoyt & Elk, MD and moose tags. Won't pick up the WT tag for a month or so.
