Default My first deer

I want to thank everyone who gave me tips on hunting, after three years of tags soup I finally got a small buck and a doe this year. Shot him running at 125-150 yard with my SKS

nice deer, so i take it you've bought dies and reloaded ur own hunting bullets or are you able to buy hunting bullets for an sks?

I ask because I have an sks and i would love to take it out hunting except the bullets that i bought are all FMJ and not allowed for hunting.

There are a few manufacturers of hunting ammunition for the 7.62x39. Try WSS in Edmonton, as I know the Lethbridge store has some right now. BTW, do not expect it to priced like the surplus ammo, think more like $20-25 for 20 rounds.

Can not remember the manufacturer off the top of my head.
