Default Big Pike Records from around the World......

I have a book on pike written by Al Linder and associates. Most are from the early 1800's-1900's listing several pike from the lockes of Ireland weighing as much as 96 lbs! With lots in the 90 lbs range.Scotland,Sweden,Finland,Germany and USSR are all listed with fish in the 75 lb range.Method of capture range from choked, clubbed, shot to pitchforked. Some were even angled! In Canada one from 1890 [Quebec] went 49 lbs. These listings are only up to 1975 so it may have changed.Anyone know the various Provincial records?....................Harold

Hey harold is there a black and white pic in that book of a huge pike grabbing a pelican off the surface? The pic I saw was titled "the h-LL he can" It might be fake but I remember it from a 1970's Outdoor Life when I was a boy. Got my mind whirling back then...sound like a good read....gonna google it ...
Thanxs chain
