Default Ruger M77 Mark II with skeleton(Zytel) Stock Worth?

My neighbour has asked me to sell some of her guns. One of them being the Ruger M77 (30'06). It seems to be very popular these days, but I have no idea what I should be asking for it. I saw a couple on gun broker going for quite a bit. I will have a better idea of condition on Thursday, but it is a non-hunting household, so I am guessing it is mint.

What kind of a price should I be asking?

IF you want to sell it fast, start at $800.

Look if the stock has been altered in any way. Some guys removed the swivel saddles, and added studs - things like this hurt the value a lot to the paddle collectors. Also check if the barrel channel has been sanded another no-no for collectors.

Saw it tonight. It's practically brand new. It's a 243 though. She thought it was '06.
