Default Milwaukee 9amp vs 12amp batteries

After several days this past ice season have gone through two 5amp batteries on my m18fuel auger setup I am in search of another batter with more juice. While the two 5amp batteries usually more than suffice, on run and gun days or with thick ice they sometimes come short. I'm looking into getting one of either the 9amp or 12amp batteries for my drill for such days. Anyone have experience with said batteries and how they compare? From what I have researched most people seem to agree that the 9amp is enough, with the odd person saying how good the 12amp is. Just looking for some more opinions if anyone has anything to share on the topic

Thanks

No experience with the 12.0, but I run a couple High Demand 8.0’s in my Mud Mixer. They are equal to or better than the 9’s, which I also have used. 20 holes drilled in 20” of hard ice per battery. A little less in soft ice. My 5.0’s don’t even make the trip unless I’m taking out a bunch of kids, like I will this weekend.
