Default Porcupine hills access.

Hello. I’m looking to combine a backpacking trip and a bear hunt. Would anyone know if you can access the PLUZ from the north end. (Riley road)
Thanks

Edit: I’m not looking for roads to drive or trails to hike. I just need to know if I can drive in off riley road a couple hundred yards and park and hike in to my spot I have picked out.

Pretty sparse for bears up there….cept fer grizz

I’d do 306 and go right along forestry.
Plent o both roam all over for green feed and lil elks.

There are 2 ish 1/4s that come up to the road. Just hop the fence and enjoy that super steep north face. On top of the ridge there is long views of logging slashes so bring a spotter. there are also a pile of pre built camps up there compliments of the quad squad that come in from trout creek. You can also walk down the pipeline from where it meets the road. Both of these spots are high pressure and not a secret in the fall.

Thanks for the info. That north facing ridge does seem like a challenge to hike up and over. Some bushwhacking me thinks. Don’t see much for trails.
