always good to see 'Tobans around here. I'm from Pinawa. At the end of May, I'm headed up into the Nopiming for a back-country canoe-in, portage-only trip for Smallies and Pike. Gonna be a time...hoping things warm up a bit between now and then!

Lac du bonnet and pinawa, hi neighbors. I’m from pine falls. Go back and fish the Winnipeg river in the fall every other year. Manitoba has a great fishery.

Yes I guess we're lucky growing up in Manitoba people in Alberta that have never fished there have no idea how good it is compared to here.

I try to explain this to people, but it's hard for them to really grasp completely. The sheer variety of fish available in Manitoba, and the number of trophy sized that are available...man oh man. What I wouldn't give to fish bass out here....Smallies, Whites, and Drum......

Not too many muskies in Manitoba maybe in the far Southeast corner mostly across the border into Ontario some people say there's a strain of muskies in Lake Winnipeg

Muskies, within the MB border, are virtually non-existent. I can say that there is a stocking program underway in the Parkland area (Roblin/Duck Mountains area) that they're hoping will take hold within a decade, but for now....no muskies of note in the province. Gotta hop a little bit east and get to LOTW/Minaki!
